-
Do I need any experience to join?
No experience is required. The Gateway Class is designed for complete beginners as well as those with previous martial arts or yoga backgrounds who wish to reconnect with fundamentals.
-
What will I learn?
You will learn the core postures, breathing methods, and movement principles of our tradition. These build balance, strength, and focus while also introducing the cultural and historical roots of the practice.
-
Is this class suitable for fitness or for self-defence?
Both. The training strengthens the body and mind in a way that supports health and vitality, while also laying the groundwork for martial skill and self-protection.
-
What should I wear?
Comfortable, loose-fitting clothes you can move easily in. Many students begin in simple sportswear. Training uniforms are available later for those who wish to continue.
-
How much does it cost?
The Gateway Class is £15 per lesson. This allows you to train without long-term commitment while experiencing the depth of the tradition.
-
Do I need to be fit or flexible to start?
Not at all. The class is designed to meet you where you are. Strength, flexibility, and energy will naturally develop as you continue.
-

Classes are held at Lohan Martial Arts Raglan Street, NR2 4PJ, Norwich.
